this is a compilation.
some songs I've never released myself.
you google it and will find out what compilations those songs appeared on, and when.
some things you should know:
"in tatters" is "no.hypomania" with more synth layers.
"light pillars" sounds noisier here.
"dust": I can't really remember why that song is called "dust". guess I didn't title that one. maybe it was my lovely friend emily who titled it because that name would be appropriate for the compilation "dust" was on, a subterranean tide netlabel release. on that album, "dust" has a pseudo-beat which was not kept.
"the cunningly..." is silly and has a silly name.
"down here..." has some sounds created by darren harper. it should've been on my album "the lost will to want more" but in the end I thought it wouldn't suit that album, although I love the song.
"gasping": made it using a toy casio keyboard + sampled beats. it is the first song on a compilation called "love manual vol. 1, released by plush organics on tape.
"storms (longer...)" is on my 2014's album "the year of the ill", shorter (well...) and without the beat. shorter. it hasn't been on any compilation.
"there's got to...": like "down here...", that one, too, should've been on "the lost will to want more" but, like "down here...", "there's got to...", either, didn't seem to suit that album's atmosphere. it's an unreleased track.
"done for" was started 6 or 7 years ago and it was moved from a cd to another, from a portable hd to another, from some computers to others and I'd say it's a miracle it's survived if I believed in miracles or surviving. it's a kind of music I once thought I'd make forever, that "dark shadows", goth feeling... just love it. I thought twice about including it on this compilation since it's another unreleased song but then I realized it's just too late for that song. it's just done for.
