when I sent UAE Records more than 3 hours of music some months ago, I knew not all the songs would be on my second album on that label. at that moment, it was not really clear to me what the album was gonna be like, what songs would be kept because they were meant to be together as an album, you know...
right now, as I prepare these songs so they can appear here on bandcamp as this "this is not an album" album, it seems obvious they had to be the ones to be discarded. actually, I should release them after the album is released but is there anything right or wrong about it? then again, songs that are discarded should never be released for being probably not good enough, whatever "good enough" means since this is rather subjective.
having in mind what I usually have in mind when I am in two minds, I'll leave these songs here because someone might love them, one of them or 2. I'll even give them a title as an album that was not conceived as one.
UAE is gonna release that second album in some months and it's gonna be called "All The Things In Everything I Can't Perceive". only "a piece of the last one" on this "not an album" album bears a similarity with other two songs on the "gonna be released in some months" album.
in the end, we just opted for the quietest, the most meditative/evocative/contemplative songs to be on the album because... just because.
today is sept 14, 2016
unfortunately uae records is dead now and at the moment I have no clue when "all the things..." will be released or what label will want to do that.
